Affiliate Marketing – Making Money Promoting Other’s Products

Do you ever see those advertisements on the side when you make a Google search, and wonder where they come from? While many of these advertisements are from entrepreneurs trying to promote their own products, a large portion of these ads are from people who don’t even own a business, and they are making money from it! It is called being an affiliate. Affiliates try to make sales for other companies by promoting their products online. When somebody buys a product off of an affiliate’s link, the affiliate gets a percent commission of the sale.
So why become an affiliate? One, it is virtually costless. Unlike starting your own business, you aren’t risking anything but time when you become an affiliate. All that you have to do is make a free account on an affiliate network (like Click Bank). Then you just choose what products you want to endorse. After choosing a product, you are given a link to the business’s website, and it is your job to make people click on the link and buy the product. There are many ways you can go about doing this. One way is to sign up for Blogger, a free blogging service, and start your own blog with a topic that correlates with the products you want to sell. You then put the link on that blog and try to get as many people as possible to read your blog. Another, rather costly way you can go about doing this is signing up for Google Adwords . This is a pay per click service that allows you to put your link on Google as an advertisement, but you have to pay them every time somebody clicks on the advertisement.
How much can you make being an affiliate? Well, you can learn to make up to thousands each day! If you have enough advertisements out on the web that you are receiving a commission for, they the possibilities are endless. There is a catch though, you can’t just join click bank and put any product’s links anywhere and start making millions… it takes a lot of learning and technique. Though there are other ways a lot of people learn how to make money doing promoting products online, I believe this is the easiest way for people just starting out.
